Join Dr. Postma as he guides and facilitates either an individual or small group of students (2-5 per group) on a 12-16 week (depending on the topic) thematic journey to investigate an area of passion or interest

What you'll get:

• Using the Scientific Method of Inquiry students will come to a conclusion and achieve their defined set of short and long term goals/products. 
• Small groups (2-5 students) per topic meet weekly to create, develop, design, present their topic findings. 
• Week 1:  Introduction to Independent Study/Passion Project/Interest Based Investigation.
• Week 2:  Research Practices, Choosing a Topic
• Week 3:  Creative Problem Solving and Topic Choice (How to broaden or narrow the topic)
• Week 4-8 (depending on scope of project): Independent Investigation Process, Guided Q&A, Project Development
• Week 9:  First Product Development/Testing/Review
• Week 10:  Reflective Changes/Adaptions/Amendments
• Week 11-12:  Defense and Exhibition of Results
