I have worked with gifted and multi-exceptional individuals for almost 30 years and have developed a comprehensive understanding of their unique needs. One of the common elements of my work is preparing these persons and their families to navigate life's unpredictable journey.
In all phases of life; whether starting school, graduating, finding a career, or planning your golden years; highly intense people may struggle to find their true purpose. Far too often, we get stuck in the weeds of life and struggle to find our way out.
In this three part workshop designed specifically for gifted/2e teens and young adults (ages 16-26), a parody of the famous Dr. Suess book, Oh, The Places You'll Go, we will focus on how gifted/2e individuals can develop a successful path forward by building the skills that neurodiverse people require as they develop a positive sense of themselves.
I look forward to you/your teen/young adult joining us for this comprehensive workshop!

Day One:
In day one we will learn about what it means to be a highly intelligent neurodiverse individual. We will tackle and discuss the neuro-science around exceptionalities, better understand the term metacognition and how it applies to self understanding and growth, and design a personal path towards actualization and personal productivity.
Day Two:
Day two we will examine the 'bumps along the way' and create a means to develop accommodations for issues such as anxiety, dealing with intensity, disillusionment, inertia, depression, 2e challenges, negative rumination, and more.
Day Three:
Day three will be all about developing both communication and executive functioning skills needed to aid a successful journey whether at home, school, or the workplace.
An electronic work book will accompany this training for each participant.

Testimonials
Previous Teen Consulting with Dr. Mike - Age 18
"My family contacted Dr. Mike after I graduated high school and moved abroad for university, and he has helped me navigate the transition from high school to university and adulthood. He explains the science behind my anxieties and challenges, and helps me develop practical tools and strategies that I can implement to manage my stresses while being in a constantly changing environment away from my family."
Previous Teen Workshop Participant – Age 18
"I think the biggest benefit I got from this workshop was being able to talk through my struggles and get help and ideas from the group on how to better cope. It was very comforting."
Previous Workshop Participant – Age 23
"I was struggling with what I wanted to do after high school and I was really floundering. I needed focus and some help in direction, as well as how to communicate with my new work managers. I would often go into a reactive rant and it always resulted in a negative outcome. I learned so much from Dr. Mike on how to understand effective communication and how it affects others around me. I learned so many new skills and value my time with Dr. Mike. He understands me and I am so thankful for his help and understanding. I feel positive and hopeful again!
